Maiden Voyage

Hello and welcome to my blog.

PoleRider was originally conceived as a NYC Halloween parade float to raise awareness of the immense potential of pedal power and the imagination and to promote cycling in New York City.

The idea hit me one night while riding my OM Flyer along the river past the Hustler club. When I discussed the concept and feasibility with my friends
Jonathan of DesignRider and Lee Kuwahara, we knew immediately that it had to be done. A few weeks later we built the first PoleRider. I met Playjoy through an ad on Craigslist...
After rolling down Avenue A for a few blocks she asked if it would be OK to stop by the club where she was danced so she could get an outfit. This is when things got crazy and I knew I was on to something good...

Lowering the handlebars might move your top half forward enough to not get kicked in the head. Elevating the stage or lengthening the pole probably wouldn't work due to raising the center of gravity.

...or shorter dancers. That might help.
